Reveal Wall Times - Flash Reports

Made for today's Internet citizen, RWT Flash Reports value speed and juicy content over truthiness!
Flash Reports are RWT stories done on short notice so, as usual, they could be riddled with inaccuracies. We do, however, give it our best shot.
Currently, most reports print on the NameBase Discord channel before anywhere else.

What's going on Right Now with NameBase Auctions

Around block 76747, if your last name is Lopez, then there is a chance your personal name just came and went in a large set of auctions. Most appear to be regular North American first names combined with the last name "lopez". Geographic TLDs are back in style with a group starting to close out at block 76750. These appear to mostly be USA locations with a city combined with the state abbreviation such as "grandrapidsmi".

Some dictionary name auctions starting with the letters x,y and z begin to finish at 76770. A lot of these do google out to something, so we are using term "dictionary" loosely. And then a few hours from now, a new twist on personal names as TLD which have a first initial combined with a last name start to appear - for example "wwilson" and "dcarter".

For the rest of the next six or seven hours no real clear groups. More personal names with a smattering of Hindi and Arabic domain names. Finally start to see a return of 2-character emojis auctions ending at 76799

Surprising 24 Hour Pause in New Auctions

Starting around Handshake Block #73960 (about 6 hours ago), there has been a swift drop in the number of auctions coming up for closing. Looking at the "Ending soon" on NameBase, there are only about 13 auctions for domain names that will finish and go to reveal in the next 23 hours.

Because newly opened auctions run for around five days, this means that this lack of new auctions began sometime near Monday or Tuesday of last week. This puts this auction creation dry spell between Father's Day and the new moon - conspiracy theories anyone?

Anyway, it appears this will only be a short lived cease-fire as finishing auctions ramp back up to their normal levels in about 23 hours with "emailapp" heading towards reveal with a high bid of 320 HNS currently high riding on it.

UPDATE - It seems this "pause" in auctions may be artificial and in fact related to a known backlog of new auctions that is being discussed in the NameBase Discord Support channel. Discord members sajan, walter4393 and allez have all reported frustrations with new auctions. JohnnyWu has said that, at this time, there is a known issue with an "OPEN backlog".

Good Sized Spanish Set of TLDs Arriving Soon with some "Freebie" Auctions Following

At around 11am (Pacific Daylight Time, USA) today (Thursday), there will be a nice group of about 150 Spanish language Handshake names rolling across NameBase. Starting name should be "abierta" and the set should finish with "appios" about 10 blocks later. These are some great names you can grab for a fiery celebration of La Noche de San Juan which is coming soon.

Directly afterwards, an increasingly rare type of auction will show up. A small line of 0 HNS auctions will present themselves for bidders attention starting with the name "bringelly". These look to be mostly dictionary words starting with the english letters "b" or "c".

By the block numbers -
72570 - 72580 = Spanish language TLDs
72588 = start of 0 HNS auctions

Auction Close Alerts for "blockchain" Variations - The Sequel

It looks like there will be a Part 2 for the giant auction of Handshake TLDs using the word "blockchain". As we reported yesterday, another onslaught of combinations of nouns/adjectives before and after the term "blockchain" have been created as NameBase auctions. This new set of auctions should begin to close around 11:15 pm, West Coast, USA time and run for about an hour.

This "blockchain" Scrabble bubble of domain names starts with "alongblockchain" and ends on "whateverblockchain" and by our rough count includes about 440 total auctioned TLDs. So if cryptosex is for you, this might be your chance to snap up "sexualblockchain". Didn't like any of the previous US presidential choices? Maybe bid on "candidateblockchain" and see where it takes you.

By the block numbers -
71777 - 71786 = "blockchain" name auctions
440 total TLDs

Curiously, just like with yesterday's first "blockchain" auction set, there is a large group of 2 character emojis following again. It involves smiley faces, black holes and farm animals, need we say more?

Auction Close Alerts for "blockchain" Variations and 2 Character Sport Emojis

Starting after midnight tonight, Friday early morning (or Thursday really late), it looks like a very large set of auctions are set to close using a huge number of combinations of nouns/adjectives before and after the term "blockchain". So if you have a hankering for a TLD with the word "blockchain" in it, this might be your chance.

Right after that, a few groups of 2 character emoji auctions are set to begin closing as a warm up to a very large group of sport emojis coming a little later. Based on 6 blocks per hour, the sports emojis should finish just before 12 noon, Friday (6/11).

By the block numbers -
71649 - 71663 = "blockchain" name auctions
71663 - 71717 = 2 character variety groups + 2 character sports emojis (sports start 71711)

Monster Block Passes Through Handshake Blockchain

A very large block (#71468) recently propagated through the Handshake blockchain causing a huge wait time before the next block could be processed. Despite the fact that the massive block had nearly 290 auctioned names in it at reasonably low prices, there seems to of been little evidence of a sniper feeding frenzy that would of been expected for this time of day. There is no doubt that any last-block snipers that did place bids were sweating bullets, waiting for 71468 to slip to Reveal.

The massive block has been like a small deer being swallowed by the Handshake python. Like a gorged snake with a colossal bump in the middle of it's body that doesn't want to move, so too was the HNS blockchain, which was stuck on 71468 for an unprecedented 1 hour and 39 minutes (according to hnsnetwork block explorer).

The exceptionally deep block had a Head Name (first auction name) of "nabox" and a Tail Name (last auction name) of "elestanteliterario" as seen on NameBase and was a mix of personal names, emojis, trademarks and internet related names.
